Delivery

  • 1. Where is my order?

    Deliveries are made between 7am and 4pm Monday to Friday and 7am-midday on Saturday. If you would like approx. delivery time on your chosen delivery day, please contact our transport department on 01582 491100.

  • 2. My order has arrived damaged. What should I do?

    Please contact our sales team on 01582 491100 as soon as possible and we will try our best to rectify the issue.

  • 3. What size vehicle will my delivery arrive on?

    We have a fleet of vehicles consisting of 4-wheel rigid with crane, 6-wheel rigid with crane, 9-tonnes tipper with crane, 8-wheel rigid with moffett fork truck and 3.5 tonne short wheelbase pickup truck.

  • 4. How far do you deliver?

    We deliver within a 30-mile radius of Luton. If the area you need delivery too is further than this, please contact us for a price.

  • 5. Do you charge for delivery?

    For orders over £45.00, delivery is free. If the order value is under £45.00, there is a £10.00 delivery charge.

  • 6. Do you deliver on bank holidays?

    We are shut on bank holidays.

Product and order enquiries

  • 1. How do I place an order or get a quote for materials?

    Contact us on 01582 491100 or email us your enquiry to enquiries@hbutterfield.co.uk and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

  • 2. How do I pay for my order?

    We accept card payments, apple pay, bank transfer, cheque and cash.

  • 3. Can I pay for my order cash on delivery?

    We do not accept cash on delivery. Payment would need to be made before we deliver any materials.

  • 4. How do I check products availability?

    Please contact our sales team on 01582 491100 and we will be happy to check for you.

  • 5. Can you supply samples of materials?

    Yes, we can arrange samples of materials for you to take away. Some items will need to be charged out at the time of ordering but can be refunded once returned in re-salable condition.

  • 6. Do you offer a brick and roof tile matching service?

    Yes, we do. Please contact our brick library and we will be happy to arrange coming to site.

  • 7. Do you offer a timber cutting service?

    Unfortunately, we do not offer this service.

  • 8. Do you offer an estimating service?

    Yes, we do. Please email or bring in your full-size drawings to our estimating department and we will be happy to estimate the materials required. Alternatively, visit our contact us page and upload your information.

  • 9. Do you charge for this estimating service?

    No, we do not. This is free of charge. Leave your drawings with us and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

  • 10. Do you offer any discount on materials?

    Yes, we do. Most of our materials can be discounted, subject to the quantities required and delivery area. Please contact us and we will be happy to raise a quote for you.

Returns policy

  • 1. Can I return an item

    Returns are possible, providing the material is in a re-saleable condition. Please bring back the material to our branch along with your proof of purchase. Alternatively, we can pick up unwanted materials via one of our delivery vehicles when in the area. We do not take back any perishable materials such as bags of cement or plaster. There is a 20% re-stocking charge on all materials returned.
